The mission of the Internal Audit Department is to provide consulting services to the seven individually accredited colleges and the District Office and to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of City Colleges.
The Internal Audit Department includes employees and consultants with a broad range of experience in internal and external audit, accounting and finance, compliance, and business operations consulting services. Subject matter professionals are utilized when necessary.
Internal Audit is granted authority for full, free and unrestricted access to all of the CCC’s functions, records, files and information systems, personnel, contractors, external auditors, physical properties, rental locations, and any other item relevant to the function, process or department under review.
The Internal Audit department will meet or exceed the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
