  • Utilize critical thinking skills in the application of the nursing process to provide safe, quality care
  • Demonstrate effective communication through technology, written documentation, and oral expression
  • Demonstrate knowledge of leadership and management skills
  • Utilize a continuous self-assessment process to monitor professional development
  • Demonstrate knowledge of professional development requirements and expectations of the nursing profession
  • Evaluate the effect of legal and ethical issues related to nursing practice
  • Demonstrate competency in the clinical skills as defined by the Illinois Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing Act.
