If you think the red velvet cupcakes are good, you’re in for a special treat at the fifth annual Chicago Gourmet event which takes place on Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30 in Millennium Park. The Parrot Cage Restaurant – which is managed and operated by Washburne Culinary Institute students – will offer a citrus marinated tilapia tostada with chipotle salsa and a short rib open face tamale topped with a tomatillo and habanero salsa, queso fresco and a jicama slaw. Come out and support Washburne students who are the next generation of Chicago’s culinary professionals.
