Accreditation and Compliance

Gene' Stephens, JD, LLM

Executive Director
Welcome to the Office of Accreditation and Compliance!

The Office of Accreditation and Compliance (OAAC) serves as a resource on regional and specialized regulatory and accreditation matters for the Health Sciences and “Colleges to Careers” Programs at Malcolm X College (MXC). As a provider of quality, affordable education, MXC’s Health Sciences and Career Programs are training the professionals of tomorrow. Under the leadership and direction of our President and the Dean of Health Sciences and Career Programs, the OAAC supports academic and career program faculty and staff, as well as MXC’s Executive Management team.

Compliance is an everyday business that affects everything we do. At the heart of our mission, are our students, who deserve the best, which includes their ability to choose from a selection of fully accredited educational and clinical programs as they prepare to transition from academia to successful, rewarding careers.

At MXC, and as exemplified by our President, Dean, Associate Deans, Program Directors, Faculty, and staff, we lead by example and believe in efficiency, transparency, documentation, and a system of review that ensures our students will be able to receive instruction from a curriculum that meets both regulatory and industry standards.

In furtherance of our work, the OAAC website contains information about the accreditation status of all Health Sciences and Career Programs at MXC.

We also are proud to work with our external employer partners who provide support and guidance concerning the development of relevant and quantitative learning outcomes for our students. It is in this spirit of collaboration and excellence that the OAAC works to ensure MXC’s students are enrolled in, and graduate from, respected, accredited programs.

I hope you will find the website informative and useful, as we work together to continue the reputation of excellence known of MXC's Health Sciences and academic programs.
