The mission of Olive-Harvey College is to enhance knowledge, understanding, skills, collaboration, community service and life-long learning by providing a broad range of quality, affordable courses, programs, and services to paper students for success in a technologically advanced and increasingly interdependent global society. The Social Science Program is committed to quality education and the economic and social improvements of the community it serves. The Child Development Program mission is to develop dedicated, knowledgeable, self-reflective and culturally sensitive Early Childhood Professionals. And the Africana Studies Program mission is to provide an academic and scholarly course of study to students interested in acquiring a more intellectually holistic understanding of the cultural contributions and historical legacies of peoples of predominantly African ancestry.
