What is the purpose of the Developmental Education Office?

• Facilitate the collaborative restructuring of Developmental Education across the district as articulated in Vision 2011.
• Provide support to the colleges in their effort to evaluate their developmental education courses; provide opportunities to educate and train faculty and student services personnel; and support the assessment of student learning.
• Identify and provide resources, research and expertise to help each college design and evaluate its own individual plan based on student-centered and research-based practices.
