Library Services
Borrow, request, or renew books
Students, faculty and staff can borrow items for two weeks. Patrons can renew or request items through the "My Account" link on Primo. Please consult the library’s Circulation Policy.pdf for more details.
Graphing Calculators
Students can check out graphing calculators from the circulations desk in exchange for a CCC Student ID. Calculators are due back at the end of the day, before the library closes.
Study Rooms
Students can check out study rooms at the circulation desk. Study rooms are checked out for two hours at a time, on a first-come, first-served basis. A CCC student ID is exchanged for a study room and priority is given to groups.
Course reserves
Textbooks that are required reading for courses are held in the Course Reserves section behind the circulation desk. These books are for in-library use only and can be borrowed for two hours.
Research Assistance
Need additional one-on-one help? Research assistance can be provided to students and faculty by the Daley College librarians. Drop by the reference desk, a librarian is always available during library hours.
Interlibrary Loan
Patrons can request books from other CCC libraries to be delivered to their preferred CCC library.
If patrons cannot find the book they need from the network of CCC libraries, they may ask the librarians to request the book(s) for them from another Illinois college or university
My Account on Primo
Primo allows users to login into their account and renew/request books online as well as check for due dates and late fines.Users can also save items they’ve searched for in the catalog and databases in their basket.
Computing, printing, photocopying and scanners
- Computers are available with internet access and Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Printing and photocopying services are available for 10 cents per page. A printing card can be purchased in the library to make prints off the computer. Photocopiers are cash-only machines that accept both bills and coins.
- A scanner is available for use.
Loaner Laptop Program
City Colleges of Chicago credit students may borrow a Windows laptop free of charge for up to 4 weeks. You may pick up the laptop at any location but you must return the laptop to that same location. Laptops are issued on a first-come, first served basis. Check for availability and eligibility.
