City Colleges of Chicago Career Bridge Programs help you master foundational skills for college and employment readiness, connect you to financial aid and academic services, and link you to employers in high-demand industries.

Start on the pathway to college and careers by enrolling in one of these Career Bridge Programs:

Healthcare
Prepare for a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN), Phlebotomy Technician, Pharmacy Technician, EKG Technician, or a Medical Billing and Coding Professional. Earn a basic certificate (BC) to qualify for your first job in the healthcare field.

The Healthcare Bridge Program will help you:
  • Get the support services you need to succeed: financial aid, advising, and tutoring
  • Improve your reading, writing and math skills to prepare you for college entrance exams and job success while you learn the basics of health professions
  • Prepare for the GED test if you need high school equivalency

Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics: Warehousing
Start job training and earn a basic certificate (BC) to qualify for your first job in warehousing. Master skills employers want and become a certified forklift operator to qualify for your first warehouse job.

The Warehousing Bridge Program will help you:

  • Improve your reading, writing, math, and computer skills to prepare you for college and job success

Culinary

Through the Culinary Bridge Program, students can earn a Culinary Arts Basic Certificate, which provides essential skills for Line Cook positions as well as a foundation for more skilled positions in the culinary and hospitality industries.

The Culinary Bridge Program will help students:


  • Utilize support services to help them succeed, including financial aid, advising, and tutoring
  • Improve reading, writing, math, and computer skills for college and job success
  • Prepare for the GED test if high school equivalency is needed
  • Prepare for further study toward a career as a chef/head cook, food service manager, hotel sales manager, and more
