Estimated International Student Annual Expenses

*This is an estimate and is subject to change without notice.

Current tuition is $378.89 per semester hour (subject to change) with a non-refundable fee of $25.00 per term. International students with student visas are required to register for a minimum of 12 semester hours per term. Full time students must also pay an activity fee of $150.00 for a total cost of $4,721.68 per term (For every semester hour over 12 add $378.89). This covers only tuition. Tuition is payable in full at the time of the actual registration. No partial payments will be accepted.

Important Notes:

Students will receive a CTA U-Pass good for public transportation.
F-I visa holders are not authorized to work except under extreme conditions, which arise after the student has enrolled and only after appropriate approval has been granted. Spouses of F-I students are not permitted to work under any circumstances.
If applicant is married and would like to bring his/her spouse and children, a proportionately larger amount of funds must be certified ($6,000.00 per dependent).
All International Students under F1 status (student visa) attending one of the City Colleges of Chicago must have health insurance before they can register for classes. (no exceptions) Student must either purchase through their City College or provide proof of coverage through another company.
