Professor Settles, a Humanities instructor, has long been recognized as one of the best classroom teachers at Truman College. He places a great deal of emphasis on student engagement and critical thinking, involving students and encouraging discussion.

Professor Higgins has inspired hundreds of students to further their chemistry and science education. He has been a tireless leader in bringing research opportunities to Harold Washington College students through the Undergraduate Research Collaborative (URC).
Professor Edward Mogul
Wilbur Wright College
Professor Mogul was an instructor in criminal justice. He also earned a second master’s degree in humanities and philosophy and quickly lent his considerable talents to Wright College’s Humanities department. Professor Mogul retired at the end of the Spring semester.
Terry Clark serves as Department Chair of Kennedy-King College’s Communications Department, where he teaches composition, literature, and reading. Professor Clark has worked closely with the College’s chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society as a coach for the All-Illinois Academic Team participants for the past three years. Terry Clark holds a Bachelor of General Studies degree from Wartburg College where he majored in English and a Masters of Arts in English from Chicago State University.

Essien Hope is Chair of the Mathematics Department at Malcolm X College, teaches mathematics and also serves as the President of the Malcolm X Faculty Council and Vice President of the City Colleges Faculty Council.
