The Foundational Studies Program at Wright College is an innovative, developmental bridge program for high school graduates or GED recipients who wish to attend college but test below the minimum college entry levels in reading, writing, and/or math skills.
To prepare students for the developmental credit/college credit level, the Foundational Studies Program utilizes intensive course work in reading, writing, critical thinking, and employs the award winning Math On Demand philosophy to improve math skills. The FS department also offers academic support services ranging from tutoring and computer word processing training to study skills workshops, academic advisement, and career planning. While the primary focus is to improve academics, a significant component of the program is to instill confidence and build motivation to enhance college preparedness.
