CLEP Foreign Language Examination

Important: CLEP testers must present a valid, government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport) to the Testing Center staff, both when they arrive to make their CLEP reservations and on the CLEP testing date.

CLEP testers names must be identical on their form of photo identification as well as on their CLEP registration tickets. When creating your CLEP account on the Collegeboard.org website, please take special care to enter your full, legal name exactly as it appears on your chosen method of photo ID.

For example, hyphenated names on a test taker’s ID must also be hyphenated on their CLEP registration tickets, as well as students with two last names, suffixes, etc. Any discrepancy between a prospective CLEP test taker’s names on their photo ID’s and their CLEP registration tickets will prevent the student from being granted permission to test for CLEP.
