The Workforce Innovation Act (WIOA) is a law which provides training for people who are out of work, and who need training to change career paths or whose skills need improvement in order to obtain a new job.

Harold Washington College is a Certified Training Provider for the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA). The Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a law which provides training for people who are out of work, or whose skills need improving in order to obtain a new job. You must be determined eligible in order to receive WIOA funds. Harold Washington College offers training programs, but does not determine if you qualify for WIOA training funds.  ​

Eligibility for WIOA funds does not determine eligibility for individual programs. Each program has its own entrance requirements.

Eligibility and
suitability are determined at the Chicago Workforce Center, one of the suburban
Workforce Centers, or a delegate agency.         

              

                   

Program Financial Aid
Information                  

You must apply for aid
by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. If you are WIOA eligible, bring in your SAR
(Student Aid Report) with your Exploration Form. Exploration Forms for
financial aid eligible programs will not be completed without financial aid
