New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is required for all new students, and it provides an introduction to the Kennedy-King College and its academic programs, policies, and student support services. Students will register for courses during the Orientation.

Participants will:

  • Learn about academic requirements to graduate
  • Learn about the many student services that are available to help you succeed
  • Discuss education/career goals and how to ensure that the academic plan you select aligns with your goals
  • Learn about student clubs, groups, and organizations
  • Network with other new students and key campus personnel

Participants will receive:

  • A new student packet
  • New student orientation manual
  • VIP Pass – required to sit for the Placement Test

Prerequisites

  • ​Complete the Online Admissions Application, if you have not already done so
  • Visit the New Student Center, Suite W-110
    • Please bring a valid State-issued driver’s license or identification card to complete this process
  • Have a valid phone number or email address. Note: CCC provides a free student email address to all students

Cost

​No cost to students.

Timing

New Student Orientation sessions are held at various times and days of the week to accommodate students’ schedules. Click "Get Started Online" for times, dates and locations and to sign-up.     

  • Summer and Fall registration - Orientation sessions are hosted from March thru September
  • Spring registration - Orientation sessions are hosted from November thru February

Orientations are scheduled in two-hour blocks of time.
