Partners in Education

Through a partnership between the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) and City Colleges of Chicago (CCC), CHA residents and HCV Program participants are eligible for quality training and educational opportunities at low or no cost.

How To Get Started

  1. Attend an Information Session virtually. 
  2. Apply to the City College of your choice.
  3. Complete Financial Aid Application
  4. Work with an Adviser to select your program and educational path.
  5. Register for classes.
  6. Contact the Partners in Education team at ccccha@ccc.edu to request a voucher.

What Does the Program Cover?

Eligible expenses include tuition, required uniforms, books, and most exam fees for the CCC academic program or training program that the student is enrolled in. The program covers associate degrees, advanced certificates, basic certificates, a limited number of Professional & Personal Development courses/programs, and Adult Education.

Program Requirements
  • Must be a current CHA resident or HCV Program participant
  • Must apply to the City Colleges of Chicago
  • Must attend the full duration of an Information Session prior to the start of class
  • Must apply for Financial Aid
  • Cannot have past debt with the City Colleges of Chicago
  • Cannot receive student loans and past student loans must be in good standing
