City Colleges Accessibility Provisions

Website Standards

City Colleges of Chicago is committed to making its website as accessible  to as many people as possible. City Colleges website was developed to ensure compatibility with assistive technologies and accessibility techniques technical standards as set by the Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act (IITAA). The IITAA Standards align with the federal guidelines which are based on the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.   
 

Facility Accessibility

City Colleges is also committed to making its facilities accessbile to everyone. As part of this commitment, all campuses are handicap accessible and City Colleges may provide accommodations or adaptive equipment. If visitors need to make accommodations, they should contact the building’s security office.

 

Access Centers

The Access Centers are responsible for the coordination and provision of supportive services to students with documented disabilities. In accordance with the American with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the City Colleges of Chicago make every effort to integrate students with disabilities into all courses and programs. Accommodations, based on the documentation received and the needs of the student, are designed to ensure that students, who are otherwise qualified, receive equal access to all of City College’s programs and services.
