Our comprehensive program is designed to give you the competitive edge you need. From practical training with real-world applications to courses that build your foundational knowledge, we prepare you to step confidently into the construction workforce.
How to Apply:
Step 1: Apply to Kennedy-King College
Complete your application at apply.ccc.edu to receive your CCC ID and username. If you need assistance, contact Admissions Support.
Step 2: Take the TABE Exam
Visit Kennedy-King College, W Building, Room W250 at 6343 S. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60621 (Look for the building labeled “ACADEMICS”).
Testing Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Step 3: Complete the Highway Construction Intake Form

Eligibility Requirements
To join the HCCTP at Dawson Technical Institute, you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Agree to a strict attendance policy
