Adult Education Department

Adult Education is a comprehensive program of free classes for adult students who need to learn English or improve their basic literacy skills, obtain a GED® certificate, or prepare for the Citizenship exam.

 

 

 

Alternative High School (16 to 21 years old)

Did you drop out of high school? Are you 16 to under 21 years of age? You can earn a high school diploma at the City Colleges of Chicago! Apply at Olive-Harvey Middle College, Truman Middle College, or one of the alternative high schools listed below.

The Arturo Velasquez Institute (AVI) is the satellite campus of Richard J. Daley College, a public post-secondary institution which offers a variety of programs to enrich the personal and professional lives of the communities it serves.

The Thomas J. Kelly Memorial Library at Daley College

Librarians are available for VIRTUAL REFERENCE, through "Ask a Librarian" Chat or direct email. Chat is available Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 10:00 pm Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 am – 10:00 pm
