Adult Education

Adult Education is a comprehensive program of free classes for adult students who need to learn English or improve their basic literacy skills, obtain a GED® certificate, or prepare for the Citizenship exam.

 

Advanced Placement (AP) Credit

 

Alternative High Schools (16 to 21 years old)

Did you drop out of high school? Are you 16 to under 21 years of age? You can earn a high school diploma at the City Colleges of Chicago! Apply at Olive-Harvey Middle College or Truman Middle College.

 

 

Articulated Credit-Credit For Prior Learning

FREE college credits awarded to Chicago Public School graduates who complete a high school career pathway!

 

Athletics

Budget and Planning

The Department of Budget and Planning provides the City Colleges of Chicago with policy recommendations and budgetary analysis for the district.

 

Business & Procurement Services

City Colleges of Chicago is transitioning to a new e-bidding platform, Bonfire, and encourage vendors to promptly register. CCC will start advertising, collecting responses, and awarding solicitations for procurements posted on or after March 11, 2024.

 

Business Services

Business Services is responsible for protecting the assets of the college by ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to while maintaining the financial integrity of the college.

Capital Planning and Construction

Capital Planning & Construction conducts the annual facility assessments, develops the District-wide Capital Plan and coordinates and executes major construction and renovation projects on the college campuses.

 

Communications

Under the auspices of the Office of Institutional Advancement, the Communications Department oversees the City Colleges of Chicago media relations and public relations activities.

 

Compensation Design and Strategy

The Compensation Design and Strategy Department is responsible for Position Analysis and Salary Determination.

The Office of EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity), Labor & Employee Relations offers guidance to supervisors, managers, administrators and employees on collective bargaining agreements, employee relations, equal employment, Title IX and policy compliance.

 

Ethics Office

The purpose of the City College Ethics Office is to meet City College ethics goals, reduce unethical behavior within the City College community, implement Board policies on ethics and meet the requirements of the State Ethics Act.

Facilities Maintenance and Usage

The Facilities Department maintains, replaces, and repairs the campuses’ buildings, grounds, and utility systems. This includes managing: heating and cooling, custodial services, snow removal, building repairs, issuance of keys and set ups for events.

 

Faculty Council of the City Colleges of Chicago

Faculty Council represents the faculty in all matters of general academic policy, such as curriculum, program development, academic freedom, and professional development.

 

Finance

The Department of Finance is responsible for managing the District’s finances and providing governance, support and leadership in Financial management and reporting, accounting, accounts payable, treasury services, debt management, budgeting and planning.

The Office of Legislative and Community Affairs works to build and maintain strong partnerships with local community-based organizations, schools, government officials and departments, faith institutions, and other stakeholders.

 

Office of the Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of City Colleges of Chicago Community College District No. 508. City Colleges of Chicago currently operates seven accredited colleges located throughout Chicago.

 

Office of the General Counsel

The Office of the General Counsel is responsible for all legal work arising from the activities of the District.

 

Online Learning
