Judicial Affairs

Judicial Affairs oversees the student disciplinary process to ensure effective and fair application of CCC's student conduct policies in support of student rights and due process.
About Judicial Affairs

Housed within Student Services at each College, Judicial Affairs is one of many programs that support students’ educational and personal development. The office’s goals are:

  • To establish clear, effective, and fair student conduct policies.
  • To protect the rights of students accused of violating CCC rules and regulations.
  • To provide a fair, supportive, and timely hearing process.
  • To establish and enforce reasonable and clear behavioral expectations to protect the college community and the rights of its members.
  • To foster self-insight; self-initiated, positive behavioral change; and good citizenship.
  • To support a safe and positive learning environment.
The CCC Academic and Student Policy Manual contains all student conduct policies and procedures.

How to Appeal a Student Discipline Decision

CCC policy specifics certain conditions and procedures for a student to appeal a College’s student discipline decision.  Students seeking to appeal a disciplinary outcome should familiarize themselves with the appeal policy found in the CCC Academic and Student Policy Manual. To submit a discipline appeal, use the Discipline Appeal From found in the right-hand links of this page under "Publications."  All completed Discipline Appeal Forms should be submitted via email to judicialaffairs@ccc.edu. The appeal form provides important information to assist in writing and justifying an appeal.
