Academic Advising & Support

Academic Advisors are available to assist you at every stage of your education at the City Colleges of Chicago, from setting up an initial academic plan through graduation.
Each campus has full-time, professional Academic Advisors on staff to help you chart your education plan toward success. Advisors can assist you with goal setting, choosing which degree or professional certificate to pursue, creating an academic plan, selecting the appropriate classes, and finding extracurricular groups related to your chosen career field.

New Student Advising

Starting in Spring 2024, credit students who are new to City Colleges and are pursuing a certificate or degree must meet with their assigned academic advisor during their first semester.

During the appointment, new students will get help choosing or confirming their program, selecting their classes, and finding other helpful resources at their college. Students should schedule an appointment via Navigate.

Please note: New students will not be able to register for the next semester until they have met with their assigned advisor.
