Office of the Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of City Colleges of Chicago Community College District No. 508. City Colleges of Chicago currently operates seven accredited colleges located throughout Chicago.

Regular Board Meetings:                                    

A regular meeting of the Board is scheduled on the first or second Thursday of each month (except for January and September) at a time and location designated by the Chairman of the Board. All meetings of the Board are held in accordance with provisions of the Illinois Open Meetings Act and other applicable laws concerning the conduct of meetings.

The Board has two standing Committees, which meet on a regular basis.   

 

Board of Trustees Meeting Agendas and Actions:

Actions and items ​​​​approved or adopted by the Board of Trustees, including board and committee meeting minutes, are posted upon approval by the Board of Trustees as part of the collective Board Reports.

How to Address the Board:

All individuals who would like to address the Board during the public comment portion of a board meeting should e-mail requesttospeak@ccc.edu at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the Board meeting at which he or she wishes to speak. Your subject matter must be included in your request. You may also call 312-553-2515 and make a request to speak.  

ADA Accommodations:     

Individuals with disabilities who plan to attend a Board meeting and who require reasonable accommodations in order to observe and/or participate in the meeting, or who have questions regarding the accessibility of the meeting facilities, are required to contact the Board Office, at 312-553-2515 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting                                    

Board of Trustees Membership:   

The City Colleges of Chicago Board is comprised of seven voting members serving three-year terms as appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council of Chicago.  The Board includes one student trustee elected from one of the Colleges through a campus-wide election. Click here to read more about the current members of the Board of Trustees.​
