Articulated Credit-Credit For Prior Learning

FREE college credits awarded to Chicago Public School graduates who complete a high school career pathway!
Articulated Credit means that certain career courses you take in high school satisfy certain course requirements for college level classes. Having credit articulated means you:  
  • ​Receive FREE college credits for classes leading to Basic Certificates, Advanced Certificates, or Associates degrees at a City College.
  • Receive between 3 and 12 Credits on a College2Careers Pathway.
  • Save hundreds of dollars in college costs and reduce repeated coursework!
In order to receive articulated credit students must:  
  • Graduate from a CPS High School.​
  • Must apply for credit within 2 years of their CPS graduation.
  • Have a CCC Student ID Number.​
  • Must submit their transcripts, the articulated credit award form for their CTE program (see below).
  • Must set up an appointment with their respective college’s Early College Representative.
