---|---|---|
An HMO is a managed care group that provides health care coverage to its members through a network of doctors, hospitals and other health care providers. HMO covers your expenses only if you go to an in-network healthcare provider. You need a referral to see a specialist. | | A PPO allows you to choose any doctor you want at the time of service. With the PPO, you can choose to see an in-network or out-of-network provider and do not need a referral to see a specialist. Review the side-by-side benefit comparison to select the health plan coverage right for you. |
