Retirement Savings Plans

City Colleges of Chicago offers valuable retirement savings plans.

City Colleges of Chicago employees are required to participate in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS). Employees contribute 8% pre-tax savings to SURS in lieu of contributing to Social Security.  Within six months of hire, new members of SURS must choose from 3 retirement plans.  For additional information, visit SURS at www.surs.org.

City Colleges of Chicago offers voluntary 403(b) and 457(b) retirement savings plans which are valuable tax-advantaged retirement savings plans. Employees may contribute up to the annual IRS maximum contributions set each year. TSA Consulting (TSACG) is the administrator for the 403(b) and 457(b) plans at City Colleges of Chicago. As a new participant, you can enroll in the 403(b) and/or 457(b) Plans at any time. For more information on 403(b) and 457(b) savings plans offered through City Colleges, visit the 403(b) and 457(b) Retirement Savings Plans page.
