Director of Auxilary Services & Facilities

The Facilities Management department handles requests for facility usage, room reservations, and custodial services for the college.
City Colleges of Chicago
(CCC) has spaces available for rent during non-instructional periods,
subject to availability and approval.  Not-for-profit, community,
educational, civic, youth and social organizations may rent facilities at CCC.
All organizations renting space within CCC will be charged for room rental,
staffing fees and equipment fees.  For more information, click on Facility

In an effort to ensure space is requested and scheduled in a
transparent manner, KKC formed a Facilities Committee.  The KKC Facilities Committee is charged with
the following objectives:
               

  • ​Better
    use of Scheduling for more robust scheduling, workflow efficiency,
    facilities management
  • Define
    processes and expectations for external (including contracts and billing) and
    internal event requests
  • Collaborate
    with KKC Communications Committee for proper marketing and advertising of
    approved campus events to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify
    and address facilities/engineering issues with classrooms and other meeting
    spaces
  • Coordinate
    with all auxiliary services for proper event support including, IT, Security,
    Facilities, Engineering and Catering
  • Ensure
    building facilities are accessible for students and employees with diverse
    learning and work needs​

Internal Space Request Process:
STEP 1: C​ontinue submitting all internal space requests
STEP 2: After you submit your request, you should
receive an notification email summarizing the details of your space request
(NOTE: THIS EMAIL IS NOT A CONFIRMATION OF
APPROVAL FOR YOUR EVENT)

STEP 3: The Facilities Department will review your request, confirm if
space is available, and send you an email approving or denying your request.
  (NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT ADVERTISE YOUR EVENT
UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED CONFIRMATION OF APPROVAL FOR YOUR EVENT FROM THE
FACILITIES DEPARTMENT
).

In addition to the process summarized above, all space requests
must be submitted with the following advance notice
             







  • ​Internal
    request, notice of 5 business days
  • External
    request, notice of 45 business days







External requests are subject to CCC’s Board approved policy and
detailed in the Board document available
