Get My Student ID Card

For the safety and security of all, the Safety & Security Office at each college issues each student an ID card with their photograph, designated campus, and nine-digit student ID number. Students are required to wear their student ID cards at all times while on campus.   

Only currently enrolled students may obtain a student ID card. Once issued, it is the student’s responsibility to retain the ID card and have it updated by the Security Department every semester.   

How to Obtain a Student ID Card

Student ID cards are issued by the Safety & Security Department. To obtain a student ID card, students must present his/her current Class Schedule (study list), which is available online via my.ccc.edu or from the Registrar’s Office.   

 

Students
requiring picture identification/updated stickers should bring the following
to the Campus Police Office:  

  1. ​Current
    KKC class schedules (showing their student id numbers) AND
  2. Current picture identifications; such as:          
    • driver’s license, or        





    • state id, or    





    • City of Chicago ID, or   





    • military picture id, or





    • passport

If
replacing a lost picture identification, please bring your receipt from the Business Office (payment receipt with Student ID number) AND:

    • current
      state id, or



    • driver’s license, or



    • City of Chicago ID, or



    • military picture id, or



    • passport​

Student ID cards are available in the V Building, Room V132. Students at Dawson Technical Institute can obtain their student ID cards at Dawson Tech, Room 244. 

Cost

​Free upon registration; $10 replacement fee.   

Timing

Student ID Cards are available at the following times:   

Kennedy-King Main Campus: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.​   
Dawson Technical Institute: 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
