• HLC Peer Review Team provides Assurance Review Feedback to Kennedy-King College                                     

• HLC notifies ​Kennedy-King College of the Institutional Actions Council decision to renew the College’s accreditation for ten years at its August 15, 2016 meeting, including the option to change accreditation pathways.  The renewal included an interim report requiring the College to address its policy on awarding credits across​ all delivery formats (due November 16, 2016).                                    

• On September 26, 2016 Kennedy-King College addresses and submits to HLC a revised district-wide policy clarifying its policy for awarding credits across all delivery formats
• On September 28, 2016 HLC approves and accepts the College’s response and revised policy for awarding credits across all delivery formats and the interim report is satisfied.

• Kennedy-King College submits it’s pathway confirmation to remain on HLC’s Standard Pathway                                    

• Kennedy-King College submits its desired dates to undergo a comprehensive evaluation and site visit as part of the Standard Pathway year four evaluation process.                                     

• December 14, 2017, HLC sends Kennedy-King College a letter confirming the scheduled year four evaluation for October 21-22, 2019 (site visit) and September 23, 2019 (assurance argument).                                    

• Kennedy-King College confirms it’s Criterion Team Co-Chairs and plans to attend the upcoming HLC Conference.                                     

• Kennedy-King College Criterion Team Co-Chairs attend the annual HLC Conference.                                     

• Kennedy-King College HLC Steering Committee reconvene to begin planning for the year four evaluation and developing a timeline discussing Criterion Team structure and institutional priorities.                                     

• Kennedy-King College holds its first "KKC HLC Criterion Team Kick Off Meeting".  The meeting included KKC’s HLC Liaison, Dr. Tom Bordenkircher and Criterion Teams reviewed the College’s timeline, identified standing dates for Criterion Team Meetings, and reviewed the Team Charter.               

• ​October 12, 2018 KKC HLC Steering Committee will discuss College Timeline and participate in a College Awareness​ exercise during the all-campus meeting.
• October 26, 2018, Criterion Teams will submit Team Charters identifying Criterion Team roles (i.e. Writers, Recorders, etc.)        ​                  

• November 30, 2018, College will hold its final all-campus meeting of the semester.  KKC HLC Steering Committee will provide the first quarter update to the entire College community.                          

• February 28, 2019, Criterion Teams will provide present a quarterly update to KKC’s HLC Steering Committee​.  The quarterly update was provided during the February 14, 2019 meeting.

• April 22 - May 1, 2019 – HLC Student Opinion Survey Period- HLC typically conducts this survey two months prior to the on-site peer review visit with exceptions to institutions whose visit is scheduled in October




• April  24, 2019, KKC will begin its a Mock Site Visit focused on Faculty Credentials, Syllabi and Website​




• April 29, 2019, KKC will conduct its full all-college Mock Site Visit at the satellite location, Dawson Technical Institute

• May 1, 2019 KKC will continue its Mock Site Visit focused on Faculty Credentials, Syllabi and Website




• May 2, 2019 KKC will conduct its full all-college Mock Site Visit at the main campus location




• May 2, 2019 HLC confirmed the Peer Reviewers responsible for conducting​ the comprehensive review and site visit




• May 13, 2019, CCC Mock Site Visit Team will provide feedback report to the KKC Leadership Team and HLC Steering Committee​




• May 17, 2019, Criterion Teams will submit the second draft of their sections of the Assurance Argument to the Steering Committee.  (Original Date was May 3)
• May 23 - June 14, 2019, The Steering Committee and KKC College Community will review draft two of the Assurance Argument and provide feedback to the Criterion Teams (Original Dates were May 3 – May 24, Second Revision was May 20 – June 7)

• June 12, 2019 – July 26, 2019, KKC will conduct a comprehensive website audit

• August 22, 2019, Criterion Teams will prepare and present final quarterly update to KKC’s HLC Steering Committee​

• September 2 – September 13, 2019, KKC President and CCC Leadership Team will review Assurance Argument draft and provide feedback (Original Dates were June 10 – June 21 for President Review and June 22 – July 19 for CCC Leadership Review, later revised to August 5 – August 16)




• September 23, 2019, KKC will submit its year year four Assurance Argument​ to the HLC Assurance System.

• ​ October 21  – 22, 2019, KKC completed its year four on-site comprehensive visit and evaluation.     

• December 4, 2019, Kennedy-King College received a final draft of the HLC team report on their comprehensive evaluation and completed the Institutional Response, accepting the HLC team report.

•  January 28, 2020, HLC’s Institutional Actions Council IAC reviewed Kennedy-King’s Assurance Argument and the HLC’s team report.  The IAC accepted the team report, confirming Kennedy-King College met all five HLC criteria.  The IAC also issued an Action with Interim Monitoring, requiring an Interim Report addressing enrollment and financial progress by February 1,2022.

• KKC’s first ever Equity Plan was finalized and published

• February 1, 2022, Kennedy-King College will complete and submit an Interim Report to HLC addressing strategies and progress of College’s Strategic Enrollment Management Plan.
