CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!

Sign up to volunteer at: https://volunteersignup.org/FY4QX

Are you interested in volunteering?  We welcome staff, faculty and students at the Fresh Market. If you can only commit to one hour.  Please signup.  We will be happy to have your help too.  Volunteers are also welcome to take groceries from the event.

All volunteer duties will be executed in RM2200, second floor from elevator #6.  Masks covering mouth and nose are required.  All volunteers should wear comfortable clothes and shoes; we’re unpacking boxes and packing grocery bags so that can be little dusty.

  1. You’ll start with setting up bags and then move on to unloading pallets of food!  This shift requires lifting of up to 40lb, unload pallets, removing plastic shrink wrap, opening boxes, setting up the tables with all supplies.
  2. You’ll start with setting up bags and then move on to sorting food onto the packing tables and opening up boxes and shrink wrap.  You will be pre-packing 25 bags of food and setting them aside for distribution.  Expect to lift between 10-25 lbs. and open boxes or cut plastic shrink wrap.

If you’re interested, we would love to have your help IF you feel comfortable doing so.  We are aware that any activity with others has some CoVid-19 risk, and we respect your right to decide what is best for you.  We will do our part to make this event as safe as possible.
