We aim to bring equitable and sustainable community practices to support the local community with responsibly growing food along with programs that include non-human issues such as animals and environment.
The function of the Department of Urban Agriculture is to develop and implement proper pedagogy to develop curriculum pathways that support innovative environmental, socially equitable and economic development to benefit surrounding communities in Chicago.

- We also aim to serve, address, and improve Olive Harvey’s local community and the city of Chicago by offering culturally relevant and equitable curriculum that helps protect, to advocate and develop transferable skills that directly impact and engage the surrounding community.
