The Olive-Harvey College Transition Team supports upper-level Adult Education, ESL, Career Bridge, and Gateway students as they prepare for and navigate the college credit coursework admissions process and links students to relevant services to help them fulfill their career goals.

Who should meet with the Transition Team?    

All are welcome. Our programs are best for students with a 211 or higher CASAS score or a 3 or higher TABE score. To learn more about Olive-Harvey Adult Education testing click here        
    
What can the Transition Team help with?         
The Transition Team can help you:         
  1. ​Register for Adult Education courses aimed to help you prepare for college-level classes.    
  2. Explore our GATEWAY program, which can help adult education students progress to credit courses by offering financial support.    
  3. Enroll in our free Healthcare Bridge – qualified students can earn a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) basic certificate at no cost
  4. Enroll in our free CLD-B Bridge – qualified students can earn a Commercial Driver’s License-B (CDL-B basic certificate at no cost.
  5. Provide discounted GED®  and HiSET ®  practice and official test vouchers 

     

Who is my Transition Specialist?     
Brenda Baker is the transition specialist that works with students at Olive-Harvey College and South Chicago Learning Center.

Brenda Baker’s schedule:     
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday – Olive-Harvey College Main campus:  9:00 am to 5:00 pm     
Monday and Thursday SCLC:  9:00 am to 5:00 pm
