EARLY COLLEGE PROGRAM
The Early College Program allows high school students an opportunity to take college-level courses FREE OF CHARGE. Students can earn college credits reducing the overall time and cost of earning a college degree.
Eligibility – Dual Enrollment and Dual Credit
- Students must have at least 2.5 GPA AND at least a 90% attendance rate in high school to participate.
- Students must be a Chicago resident.
- Students must be 16 and at least a junior or senior in high school.
- Any student younger than 16 and/or not yet a high school junior must work with the Olive-Harvey College Early College Program to obtain permission from the College President to participate.
- Students may need to meet pre-requisites for a college course and can do so by submitting approved ACT and/or SAT scores and/or taking CCC Placement Tests. Before taking any placement test, please review the math ALEKS and the English Read to Write (RTW) Test Prep Packets and make sure you prepare. (see Placement Test info below)
- Students must work with the Early College Program Coordinator/Advisor in order to be enrolled in college courses. Any student who self-enrolls will be responsible for paying for their course(s).
Dual Enrollment Registration Process
We are excited to assist you with becoming a part of Olive-Harvey’s Dual Enrollment Program. Please complete the below procedures/process to become a part of the Dual Enrollment Program.
- Apply to the Early College Program at Olive-Harvey College to obtain your CCC ID number. (early college application guide)
After you complete the online application you will receive your CCC ID number via email. Your CCC ID# will allow you to take the placement exam if you do not have official SAT or ACT qualifying scores. If you do not receive your username, please use the links below to retrieve it and reset your password.
- Obtain/Submit a copy of your High School Transcript and Picture ID.
- Obtain/Submit a copy of your official ACT/SAT test scores or take the CCC Placement Test (ALEKS and/or RTW) for any course that requires college readiness
- Fill out thoroughly the Early College permission form making sure to have a parent sign

Final Steps
Please email all of the completed documents to Holly Washington (Thrash) at hthrash@ccc.edu and Lovetta Houston at lhouston11@ccc.edu to be enrolled.
Once we have enrolled you in a course, students must schedule to attend an Orientation.

Eligibility
Students must be at least a junior or senior in high school by the time they start a Dual Credit or Dual Enrollment class. If a student is younger than 16 and not a high school junior, the student must demonstrate college readiness in Math or English as well as obtain permission from the College President to participate.
