Sushma Kher (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Prior to working at Harold Washington College, Sushma oversaw operations at a local non-profit wellness center in the Pilsen Community. She supervised programs in the Community Mental Health setting including Outpatient Therapy services, Psychosocial Rehabilitation groups, and grant-based work supporting the unhoused population.  She focuses on leading with collaborative, empathetic and affirming approaches with staff and clients alike. She centers cultural humility, social justice and inclusion in her work.                 

Sushma’s clinical orientation is humanistic in conceptualization and she also utilizes interventions from cognitive behavioral approaches. Her areas of expertise include therapeutic work with emerging adults who are navigating through depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, and identity exploration.

Janea Vinson (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Adler University (Adler School of Professional Psychology). She has previous work experience in the nonprofit setting and ongoing experience within private practice.                  


It is through holistic, systemic, and strength-based approaches that Janea works with clients to collaboratively address transition and adjustment, anxiety, depression, trauma, and identity development, as well as strengthen relationships. She is a culturally-sensitive clinician, who fosters a safe space and remains client-centered to promote change.

Mackenzie Vigliotti (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago. Prior to working at Harold Washington, Mackenzie worked in the non-profit sector focused on case management, therapy, and program development.                 

 

Mackenzie is a culturally responsive clinician and a firm believer that each person is the expert on their own life. Mackenzie works collaboratively with students to create an affirming and non-judgmental therapeutic space. Mackenzie’s top priority is to walk alongside students as they prioritize self-care and cultivate their most authentic selves.

Hannah Chojnacki
 (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR) with a Masters in science in Art Therapy with an emphasis in counseling from Mount Mary University and a Bachelors in science in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago.     

 

 

Hannah has had the pleasure of utilizing art in clinical work in a variety of settings predominantly in Chicago’s child welfare systems including shelter care, psychiatric care, and community outpatient clinics. Hannah is particularly interested in the power of healthy relationships: therapeutic relationships with individuals, empowering relationships with community, and inspiring relationships with art making. Hannah’s mission is to provide people a safe space where they may foster creativity and resiliency together.       
       

April Wilburne, LCPC

April Wilburne ​(she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a Master’s in Clinical Menthal Health Counseling from Adler University and an Bachelors in Psychology with concentration in Mental Health from Spelman College.     

April has previously worked in community mental health and non-profit sectors and ongoing work in private practice. April brings non-judgement, humor, kindness, and patience with her into sessions. She encourages and advocates for her clients to practive self-work both in and out of sessions to build a stronger foundation for a healthier self while operating from a holistic approach. April serves students in the Harold Washington College’sTRIO-SSS program.

Devyn Longstreet (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a master’s in counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and an undergrad in psychology from Hampton University. Devyn has experience working with diverse populations in non-profit and private counseling settings.                  

If you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, sports performance issues or a different mental health challenge, you can expect a judgement free space that involves Devyn working with you on removing or reducing these challenges in your life. Devyn’s goal is to help students achieve the best them that is possible. She believes that everyone is different and provides a client centered and integrative approach for each person that she meets. She is currently the clinical case manager at HW Wellness Center and will be assisting students with applying for resources as well as therapy. ​                   

                 

  
 

Dolores Contreras

Dolores Contreras (she/her/ella) graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) with a Bachelors in English, with a Concentration in Creative Writing, and Sociology. Prior to working at Harold Washington, Dolores worked in a nonprofit organization, providing community based programming to children and youth in the Little Village and West Lawn communities, as well as assisting in youth employment efforts for young adults. Throughout her work in community empowerment, she became passionate in holistic wellness, which motivated her in becoming an RYT-200 (Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance with 200hr Teacher Training Certificate).  

 
 

Dolores’ goal is to be a friendly face (and calming virtual voice through phone or Zoom!) for everyone in the HW community seeking support from the Wellness Center and providing the best assistance to get folks the information/resources they need. She also hopes to use the skills she’s honed through her previous work to assist and work with the rest of the Wellness Center team, in any way she can, to effectively meet the mission of the HW Wellness Center
