How to Join Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society

To be eligible for membership in Phi Theta Kappa, a student must:                               

  • Be enrolled at Harold Washington College
  • Have accumulated a minimum of twelve (12) college credit hours
  • Have a grade point average (GPA) equivalent to but not less than a 3.25​
 An online PTK application form and a submission of your transcripts are required to become a                      
member of Phi Theta Kappa. If you qualify to become a PTK member, please click on the following                      
steps to submit your application and transcripts.

   If you cannot access the PTK Online Application, please try the following:                     
  1. Visit Suite 611 and ask for a paper PTK application.
  2. Email the PTK contact advisor, Dr. Rosie Banks, at rbanks@ccc.edu

Upon submitting your PTK Application, please give us about five business days to process your application. You           
will be sent a passcode that will allow you to complete the process of joining Phi Theta Kappa. You will receive an award and pin in the mail within 4 to 5 weeks.
