New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation is required for all new students, and it provides an introduction to the Harold Washington College and its academic programs, policies, and student support services. Students will register for courses during the Orientation.
Student Orientation is loaded with information that you need to know since we want to do all we can to help get you started on a path to success. During the orientation process you can expect to:
- Discuss education and career goals and how the academic plan you choose must align with them.
- Learn about academic requirements needed to graduate
- Learn about the many student services that are available to help you succeed
- Learn about student clubs, groups and organizations
- Meet other new students and make new friends

Review options to attend New Student Orientation for the Fall 2023 semester:
RSVP for an orientation session
Students can RSVP for New Student Orientation by logging in to their Student Portal, clicking on the “Quick Access” tile, select “Navigate” and then “Schedule.”
You will be able to select your ideal day, time and session modality from there.
Timing
Sessions are available during registration each semester.
