Submit Official College Transcripts
Transfer in the courses you completed at other institutions to City Colleges of Chicago. By transferring in credits you can easily register for courses at CCC, and complete your degree in less time.
Students submitting transcripts from colleges or universities can submit official transcripts to the Registrar’s Office where the student intends to register We strongly encourage requesting official transcripts to be sent electronically. Please note, official transcripts are required to receive transfer credit. Students transferring credit to City Colleges of Chicago are required to submit official college transcripts reflecting all college credits earned at other approved accredited institutions previously attended. Transferable coursework will be posted to the student’s record upon completion of each transcript evaluation. Please email your college Registrar’s Office with any questions.
Transcript evaluations are completed for all admitted students, all currently enrolled students, and all former students. After each subsequent transcript evaluation, transferable coursework is processed accordingly for non-degree and degree seeking students at CCC.
Successful completion of courses with grades of “C-” or better will be evaluated. When courses are accepted for transfer credit, these credits ease the registration process, facilitate accuracy in course selection, and support the advising processes at CCC. In addition, transfer credits may count towards meeting associate degree and certificate program requirements. Transfer credit is not calculated into the grade point average (GPA) at CCC.
Official transcripts can be submitted electronically or by mail. Transcripts that have been opened or emailed directly from a student are not considered official and will not be accepted for transfer credit evaluations.
All students need to submit official transcripts except for students who are here as a NODC (No Degree or Certificate Award).
