Borrow a Laptop (Students)

City Colleges of Chicago Credit students and Adult Education students may borrow a laptop free of charge for a period of time during the term. You may pick up the laptop at any location but you must return the laptop to that same location.
You may request a loaner when you login to my.ccc.edu

  • Student will access the Loaner Laptop Request via the Portal (under Announcements)
  • Laptops will be issued one week prior to term begin date.


  • Requests are to be made beginning one week before the start of the semester, and will be ongoing until two weeks prior to the end of the semester.​
  • Students should receive a communication with Laptop Loaner details, including checkout date, return date, default information & agreement acknowledgment.
  • Students should pick up laptop at his/her home campus.
  • If laptop is NOT picked up within 2 days, the laptop will be put back into the inventory queue (laptop checkout day + 2).​

Credit Student Requirements

  • Student must be in a Credit Career, enrolled in 6 or more credit hours (3 or more for summer term)
  • Student should have no delinquent service indicators
  • Student must be Active in a specified program plan
  • Student should have no previous violations of loaner laptop program
  • A student who has checked out a laptop will be allowed to keep it for 60 days

       

Adult Education Requirements

  • Student must be enrolled in ADED classed for the current term
  • Student should have no delinquent service indicators(Bride and Gateway waiver students will not be affected)
  • Student must be Active in specified Program Plan
  • Student should have no previous violations of Loaner Laptop Program
  • Student can keep the laptop for 60 days
