Making an Appointment

To make an appointment to meet with a Wellness Center staff member, you may call or walk-in during regular business hours.

Walk in or Call Us

Wellness Center Services are available on a walk-in basis or by phoning us.  Most visitors to the Wellness Center are looking for resources and referrals, and usually we are able to provide helpful information on your first visit.  If you would like to meet with a Wellness Center intern counselor during your visit, generally, someone will be able to meet with you right away.  If not, you can make an appointment, usually for later that same day.

What to Expect

It’s important to know that we will be glad you came to see us and that we will not judge you or your situation.  We simply want to provide you resources, help in problem solving, and give you the opportunity to discuss your challenges in a comfortable setting.

Your first meeting with a Wellness Center counselor is very simple.  We’ll ask what motivated you to come to the Wellness Center and what we can do to assist you.  In many instances, we’ll be able to direct you to resources and provide referrals on the spot. If at the end of you meeting, you and your intern counselor believe that additional meetings would be helpful, you and your counselor will work out a meeting schedule.

Confidentiality

Upon your first visit, if you meet with a counselor, you will be asked for basic contact information.  This information is kept confidential, except in certain circumstances where a person’s safety is at risk.  Confidentiality is very important to us and to you, and the Wellness Center staff can explain to you your rights of confidentiality.
